Priss_e_pants 5.0 out of 5 stars We searched everywhere for a “REAL” BMX bike that was pink.December 26, 2017 Color: Pink Style: Legion Lxs Verified Purchase
Recently my (almost) 8 year old daughter has been getting into BMX riding at the skate park. She had a 16” bmx hunk of junk from Toys’R’Us, so we knew it was time to upgrade. She wanted to keep the flashy pink styles most little girls like, but wanted a true style BMX for the park. This task seemed almost impossible.
SIZE: A lot of the other bikes are more professional style/size and were double the price. We really did our research because it’s not only the tire size that matters but the top tube length as well. She’s pretty tall at 4’4, but my husbands 20.75 top tube bike was just too much of a stretch for her. This bike came as a perfect fit for her with 20” tires and a 18.5” top tube length and she has have plenty of room to grow.
SIMILAR BIKES: Our search narrowed us down between this bike and the Mongoose Legion L40 (199.99 USD) or Mongoose Legion L80 (219.99 USD) both were more of an adult bike we thought she could grow into, but I’m so glad we we went with this one.
BIKE ITSELF: Honestly it’s not 100% pro BMX bike (Cranks aren’t the greatest, no gyro, but nothing major missing for an 8 year old) we did some tweaking (removed front brake, reflectors, etc) and it will suit her for the next few years until she’s ready for the responsibility of a nicer bike. This bike is also WAY lighter than her old 16” bike and easier for her to maneuver in and out of the house. The paint on this bike is absolutely incredible, the photos of it show a regular pink bike but it’s way more of a neon pink with a gorgeous subtle metal flake in it. The decals are tasteful and the pops of white on the bars and frame really make this one stand out. My daughter is so excited to show off her new bike at the skate park! We had this bike put together in 30 minutes or less, and it was very easy to do. It came in a large box and really just needed the bars, seat, pedals, and front tire put on.
If you’re on the fence about this one, go for it. You can’t beat the quality and style of his bike for the price.
Indiana Joan 5.0 out of 5 stars They were perfect for their size which is 50 inches tall

I purchased two of these bicycles for my 9 year old twin granddaughters. They were perfect for their size which is 50 inches tall. We had to lower the seat all the way down and adjust the handle bars back a little. So there is plenty of adjustment for future growth. The bikes arrived as scheduled and were in perfect condition. Some assembly, but nothing too difficult. About 15 minutes from unpack to ride per bike.
Matt 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome bike. Great Transition Bike
October 9, 2018 Color: Orange Style: Legion L16 Verified Purchase
I was trying to find a bike to transition our son off of his Strider, but didn’t want one with a pedal coaster brake (wanted a freewheel) as I think they are pointless as every adult BMX or MTB will have a freewheel rear hub…plus I wanted him to learn how to use a handbrake anyways. This bike is an incredible value at $149 compared to cheaper big box store junk12-16” bikes at $80-$150. The tires are nice and wide (almost between a regular tire and fat tire bike) should help with learning balance. Short of having a 3 piece crank this is essentially the little kid version of the higher end full size Mongoose Legion bikes. Very happy to find this (in my mind) steal of a deal as other bikes from SE, Hoffman, Haro, etc. cost twice as much and some still don’t have as much to offer as this. After seeing the quality of this bike it actually makes me want to get the Mongoose Legion L100 full size for myself.
