  • Bought this bike for our two year old and he loves it so we love it! Super light weight and easy for him to manage. After reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive about the foam wheels but they are super lightweight and no flats! So they really are perfect for him. I like how at barely two he can manage his bike independently. Adds to his level of confidence!        Read more By Lorah868
  • I’ve done a lot of research on balance bikes, and I’ve bought both a Strider 12 Pro and subsequently a Woom 2 for my daughter. In my opinion the Strider is a good balance bike, but it’s not quite as good as the Woom 1 which I think is the best bike on the market. If I had it to do over I would have bought the Woom 1, but I didn’t come across it until after purchasing the Strider. The things that distinguish the Woom 1 are: – lightweight aluminum frame which makes it easier for small children to move around – very low step through height making it easier for kids to mount – rear wheel hand brake – high quality inflatable wheels The Strider Pro is a step up from the regular Strider because of its lightweight aluminum frame, but it still has plastic wheels. These don’t ride as smoothly        Read more By Chris
  • The product seems fine … maybe a bit expensive for what it is. In retrospect, it may have been better to order a regular bicycle and remove the pedals/crank/chain etc. That way it can convert to a regular bicycle when the child is ready. The thing that *really* bothers me is that for this price they don’t give you an owner’s manual. Instead you have to given them your e-mail and other personal information and get the nonsense pasted below in return. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I really don’t want to have an ongoing relationship with the manufacturer of balance bikes. I just want the stupid owner’s manual with no hassle and no relationship!!! From Strider … Thanks for signing up to keep in touch with Strider Bikes. We really appreciate it. • I’m always nervous buying from an unknown brand, but I’m very happy with the quality and design, especially for the price. Purchased for my 3-year-old son. Had a minor assembly issue that was resolved easily by contacting JoyStar customer service. Was expya dead end, but they went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved as quickly as possible. Very good experience.        Read more By Chris E

  • So the bike is nice looking and appears to be well made. It comes with stickers to spell out their names and other fun things like a ducky horn that squeaks. It also comes with all the tools needed For assembly – HOWEVER – the seat did not smoothly fit in AT ALL. The inside tube had protrusions and had to be sanded down for 20+ minutes. Also I was lucky enough to have a friend with a huge tool box that used a wrench with an extension that made it much easier (and did the sanding). All in all it was quite frustrating. I was ready to return it but then I thought about how I would have to disassemble it… so in the end we kept it and my son loves it. Perhaps I was just unlucky and got the only bike with these issues.        Read more By S. Khan See all customer reviews

  • I spent months scouring Amazon looking for a balance bike for my two year old. It seemed like every bike out there had major complaints about it. After reading the almost all positive reviews for this bike, I decided to spend a bit more money on this balance bike compared to some of the others. I wasn’t disappointed in my choice. My son LOVES this bike! It is the absolute perfect size for him. He feels in control when riding because nobody has to help him with pedals or keeping his balance. The tires are made out of foam (which seemed to be a complaint by some), but my son has ridden this indoor and outdoor and hasn’t had any issues with the tires. I haven’t had to adjust the seat yet, but it seems fairly simple to do. I feel        Read more By Keen07
  • This is an amazing tool to teach the kids balance quickly and safely. They naturally will want to go faster and will pick up their feet to do so, thus learning balance. It is easily height adjustable, very sturdy, and not heavy. My recently 5yr old daughter was pedaling her bike on training wheels, and then playing on this. After a few weeks I noticed her coasting long distances and then took her training wheels off; after about 30min of coaching, she was pedaling on 2 wheels and loving it. Within 3 weeks after her my 3yr old son was biking on 2 wheels too.        Read more By JC
  • I bought a very similar one for my boy twin. His sister is still getting used to hers. I like that it has a place to put feet up when you get good at it and can coast. It’s about twice as heavy as the other one and send equally sturdy. I’ve only owned it for a few days so I can’t say how durable it is. Watching him get better on his daily is really cool and I’m looking forward to doing the same with her. UPDATE After watching the twins on both bikes I realize I should’ve bought two of the other brand. The main reason being the weight of this one. It’s more than twice as heavy and both of them prefer the lighter bike. She loves riding her brother’s bike. I have to coax her to get on this one. 2018 Update A Year Later – I see that this        Read more By Natasha See all customer reviews

  • Bought this for my 7yo niece (and hand-me down for my daughter in a few years). The bike is very light compared to other models we have seen at the big box stores so it’s easier for her to transition to her “bigger girl” bike. The top bar on the frame is also lower so it’s easier to get on/off. The other determining factor was the 1- handle brake that controls both front and back. She is new to shifting gears and this gives her one less thing to have to think about (so she doesn’t accidentally pull the front brake and fly over the handlebars!) and is much safer than just one rear brake. Bike shipped to me in 2 days (thanks Amazon) and pedals, handlebar and front wheels were done within 10-15 minutes. Was surprised that they even shipped a nicer quality chrome wrench instead of the throwaway tools I usually        Read more By Michael Guman
  • Bike frame, wheels, brakes, and pedals seem well-made and high quality. I had an issue with a front brake cable being too loose. I contacted the company via the “contact us” link on their site. I received a call-back from 1 of the owners of the company within less than 5 minutes. He walked me through tightening up the front brake, offered to mail a new cable crimp end cap and was extremely patient and kind on the phone. My original review was going to be less than 5-stars, but given to make things right the company did. Awesome experience and a well-made bike. My kid loves it so far.        Read more By JD43
  • To give a little background on my kid’s-bike buying adventure, I spent a good amount of time on the Two-Wheelin Tots website. The way they explain things on there just makes sense. For instance, I see kids riding around on those cheap “big box store” bikes and the kid looks so awkward on it – their legs don’t have room, the handle bars are up to their shoulders and the whole thing looks unstable. A dead give-away that the bike isn’t designed well is if it looks like a toy instead of a miniature adult bike. Two Wheelin’ Tots explains in basic terms the concept of bike frame geometry and the importance of having a light weight bike with a low center of gravity and a longer wheel base. In other words, If a bike is uncomfortable because it sits too high and is unstable, or it’s too heavy, it        Read more By Frankie and Chet See all customer reviews

  • The package arrived in decent shape but I quickly encountered my first issue. The handle bar was upside down??‍♀️ Removing the screws that secured the handle bar was a challenge because the key provided wouldn’t catch in the screws. It took about 10 minutes just to do that and turn the handles in the right position. Then the next challenge was getting the stem attached to the frame. The directions that came with the product as many reviewers stated are generic and not helpful for this bike assembly. The picture on amazons page for the bike was more helpful but still didn’t give clear instructions on how to secure the stem of the handle bars to the frame of the bike. After about 20 minutes of trying to figure this out I finally got the piece secured. Finally our last disappointment was        Read more By Sarah BX
  • We purchased this bike for my 4 year old son and straight away I can tell that its super solid and will last a long time. I have not tested that theory, only having the bike for 2 days, but it has a great feel to it and the components are well made. The reason for 4 stars is that the manual is very confusing. They package more of a general assembly booklet that is for any model of bike they sell, so you have to read through to understand what directions are meant for the bike you purchased. And in many cases I couldn’t find directions for our model, so I had to wing it. Which was not brain science, but it was still confusing. ONE THING TO NOTE when screwing in the pedals, one of the pedals threaded by twisting left instead of right! So at first I        Read more By kari jennings
  • Where do I start? Handle bars were made upside down and I had to fix them. The included instructions have nothing to do with this bike, the tires needed to be inflated, and the refectors keep falling off,and the included number to call for help is in China, it is a long distance call with no toll free number and you get an answering machine in Chinese when you call. This thing is a complete piece of junk.        Read more By NWNJ See all customer reviews

  • My daughter sustained a concussion based on the braking system on her old bike. I am a surgeon that deals with trauma situations on an everyday bases, so when I went loooking for a safer solution for my daughters next bike- the sure stop system was a no brainer. The bike came packed very well, without a scratch. It took me 5 minutes to assemble, and it is very high quality-the welds and finish are comparable to our high end adult bikes. My daughter loves the weight of the bike, she can handle it very well. The brakes work like nothing I’ve seen. I thought the front wasn’t working when I assembled it but they only activate when the rear pads actually are on the rim and the wheel is spinning- Genious design. These brakes should be on every bike. • We purchased our Guardian bike a couple months ago for my 7 year old and we’ve been very happy with it. My son loves it! It can be tough to find a high quality kids’ bike that looks cool too and Guardian does a terrific job. The bike was really easy to put together and took very little time…maybe 10 minuntes tops. We did have one small problem with the brake pads after my son had been riding for a few days so I called Guardian and asked them about it. I spoke with Kyle, who designed the bike, and he answered several of my questions and offered to facetime with us so he could show us how to correct the brake pad problem. The shipping box is not discrete and makes the contents obvious so if you are buying this as a surprise gift, the surprise may be ruined if the box is seen before the event. *** Assembly *** The bike was very much preassembled in the box it arrived. Only the front wheel and the handlebar required assembly. If you have never assembled a bike before, I suggest looking for an instruction video on Guardian’s YouTube channel because the instruction manual that came with it was not very helpful. Guardian Bikes have included all the tools needed to assemble. It was very easy to assemble. *** FEATURES *** BRAKES: Traditional bikes have two separate levers for each wheel’s brake: front and rear. Even the wrench multi- tool they sent was shaped like a fish for added cuteness. The bike is gorgeous and super sturdy/heavy which is what I was looking for since my daughters other bike was constantly tipping on her. The training wheels are rubber lined which makes a world of difference. I can see me passing these piece on numerous times, it’s a classic.        Read more By Amazon Customer
  • Assembly instructions are poor, good thing i know how a bike works but if you dont then you may be challenged. One of the nuts on the bike came rusty which is unacceptable and shows little quality control. The training wheels should reach out a little further because if a kid leans too hard on one side getting off or on the bike will flip over. We bought a Huffy at Walmart before this and returned it because it was garbage. This one is better for sure but for double the price. The leather grips and seat are real nice but the grips are held on by plastic stoppers that fell off before the first ride. 3 stars because its just average for what you pay and average these days doesnt mean much. • The bike is adorable! I added the basket and baby seat for my three year old. The paint job is not quite the quality I had hoped for and one of the foot pedal screws is too large for the hole it goes into, so it is not screwed all the way in…the other fit in effortlessly. Assembly took me much longer than it should have because the instruction manual it came with is for a different bike and the website listed on it does not exist. I had to look at photos of the assembled bike and wing it. Just received today so we will see how durable it proves to be! We contacted amazon cs and was displeased because we told them we don’t want to return but need the pedal as it’s not working and they said they can’t help unless I return. It was truly easy to assemble, took me about a half hour but I’m older with arthritic hands. It’s a sturdy bike and I loved the fact that the training wheels are aligned so that the bike doesn’t feel tippy like so many with training wheels do. We saw others and had her sit on and try lots of other style bikes to make sure we would get one she’d be confident and comfortable riding. She’s still getting comfortable riding bikes without training wheels (we live in a rural area where there’s a lot of dirt and the only place she can ride is in the street which makes it difficult for me to keep an eye on her all the time). Anyway, so I believe she still needs the foot breaks until she transitions to a hand break only bike. This was the only bike I could find that was all the things we needed, right color, and it has the hand and foot breaks.        Read more By mommy of 2

  • I ordered the ‘Blue 16″ Web Plaque’ for my son’s 5th birthday. He was ECSTATIC. The bike is vibrant and sturdy with tons of ‘webbing’ details in the handlebars and tire treads that really pulls the whole Spiderman theme together. Assembly was straightforward, however our bike arrived with the plastic handlebar cap pounded tightly into the metal to the point it took us 20 minutes just to cut/pry/twist the cap off to begin assembly. Also the seat is a shiny, plasticized material that easily splits and ours arrived with a tiny cut already in it. We plan to get a more comfortable, less wedgie-fying seat cover anyway so it’s not a huge deal. • While Firmstong’s web site says this bike will accept training wheels (20 inch), that’s not correct out of the box. The rear axle is too short to be able to add them. Firmstrong was little help in trying to find a solution to this problem, so I came up with my own. I also purchased the Wald training wheel set at the same time I purchased this bike. The training wheel supports are 3/8 inch thick and the support bracket is about 1/8 inch thick. I took the rear axle nut to the hardware store and was able to determine that the size and thread count for the rear axle is 3/8 inch 24 TPI (fine threads.) Armed with this information I bought a 1 inch coupling nut of the same size and thread count (its one inch long and open at both ends) along with a 3/4 inch hex head        Read more By Mkel2000

  • I purchased this for my five-year-old granddaughter for her birthday in May after hearing her crying that she didn’t want to ride her brother’s hand-me-down bike. When I was visiting a few weeks ago, I finally got to see her ride it! She is small for her age, and the seat is set at the lowest setting. Unfortunately, her father did not attach the doll carrier before attaching the seat, and he hasn’t found the time to put it on. (I’m a little upset, but my granddaughter doesn’t seem to notice.) She has been riding it for four months, and her parents have no complaints. This bike looks just as bold and loud as it does it the pictures. My granddaughter picked it out, and my daughter thinks she was rebelling against her brother’s hand-me-downs. It is really cute, but it also is an        Read more By D37
  • This bike was purchased for a 6 year old who absolutely adored it. The bike was almost assembled. The only assembly required was the front wheel, handlebar, seat and pedals. The front basket and rear doll seat were a quick install as well. The bike looks EXACTLY as pictured here on Amazon page. It is absolutely beautiful and gets a lot of attention. The handlebar is fixed-height and cannot be adjusted. The seat can be adjusted to different height levels. However, at its lowest, it bumps into the doll seat. But the doll seat’s bracket can be easily bent to adjust it to a lower position allowing enough room for both seats. Although I would have preferred the doll seat to be a bit further behind the bike seat for more room, given that the bracket can be bent, it’s not a deal breaker. The basket attachment ties were flimsy so I opted        Read more By John Smith See all customer reviews

  • I read the reviews and some people received damaged bicycles, but I bet that is due to shipping. This one showed up today and took me a total of 25 minutes from the time I started opening the box until it was ready to ride. No dings, dents, or scratches, it came in perfect shape. This bicycle is not made by John Deere, just a licensed product. It is made by Ertl, makers of great metal toy tractors and farm implements. The grandson loves his new John Deere!        Read more By G. K. Wallace
  • Like other’s had said, right out of the box I had to do paint touch up which meant I had to order some john deere paint. He has had the bike for about 2 years and the ball bearings for the peddles have completely fallen apart. I ordered new ball bearings and replaced them, just to have them immediately tear up. The frame on the bike is solid as can be, but the ball bearings and the paint job are cheap. I guess for $115 it has lasted about 2 years, which is why I give it 3 stars.        Read more By Do-it-yourselfer
  • we purchased this as a gift for our grandsons 3rd birthday, luckily we had it delivered to us so my husband could assemble it before we gave it to him. the bike was packaged in such a way that it did not protect it from being scratched during shipment. during assembly we found the bike would need numerous adjustments; the front fork would need much adjustment to allow it to turn. the peddle/gear crank needed to be loosened to allow it to spin, the rear axle spindle nuts where over tightened, not allowing the tire to spin. all these assemblies also had insufficent lubrication/grease in them which added to there extremly stiff operation. after disassembly of these assemblies components and properly lubricating and adjusting them, my husband was able to get the bike to where it could be ridden. not what we expected for something with the John Deere        Read more By Cheryl Anderson See all customer reviews

  • Absolutely in love with this bike. Bought for my 3 almost 4 yr old and she loves it. Super easy to put together and I love that it comes with the tools! Also it comes partially assembled which helps a bunch.By Tabitha
  • It gets regular use, rain or shine, from my 4 yo granddaughter. She loves this bike from it’s tassled handlebars to the seat for her dollies on the back. A very special Christmas gift!By Gigi
  • This bike is really cute and the deciding factor was that it had the doll carrier and basket in front. The doll carrier only works well if the seat is at its highest. My daughter needs it at the lowest point and we had to bend the metal of the doll carrier brace to make it work. The directions are awful, there are 0 directions for the doll carrier and basket. And it does not come with a kickstand. Beside all the irritating things for an adult my daughter absolutely loves the bike.        Read more By Carrie Rodriguez See all customer reviews

  • Very good quality bike for the money. Real BMX parts not cheap stuff you find at Walmart or Toys r us. Color is different, I will upload another photo. The real color is actually better than the baby blue shown here. Our son has been using a balance bike so the training wheels are going in the trash. We did get him the Strider elbow and knee pad set. Comes with reflectors for the front , back and wheels. Only problem I had was the threads on one of the allen bolts for the goose neck was messed up so I had to force the treads.        Read more By jpsoutlook
  • My kid LOVES LOVES LOVES this bike. He is a tall four year old. He helped my build this bike for him. At first I had the seat really low, but after the first pedal. We had to raise the seat. I really like the color and its a little darker than in the pictures. It was easy to assemble. This is definitely a must buy. We hated the box store bikes. ** UPDATE** My sons been riding it for two months ad we are ready to take off the training wheels.        Read more By Scott
  • Super easy to put together. Came with all the tools someone posted about the training wheels not being high quality I think they are normal wheels. I would recommend this for anything that needs a nice quality bike and not some pos.By Brian Platfoot See all customer reviews

  • Pretty simple to put together but took a bit of figuring out for a first-timer like me since it didn’t come with instructions. All you have to do is put on the handlebars, seat, and front wheel, and screw in the pedals. The bike seems solid. The handlebars are a good distance from the seat unlike some of the bikes I’ve seen that have them too far apart (in my opinion).By J. Campbell
  • The first bike I received appeared to be used, but I put it together hoping it would be fine because it wasn’t in bad shape or anything. As soon as my son started riding it, I knew I had a dud. There was some sort of an issue on the inside part of the bike, where the pedals are joined to the bike…it sounded like gears were grinding really badly, everytime my son would pedal, as well it would skip randomly. I did everything I could to fix the bike so I wouldn’t have to deal with shipping it back, but there was no saving it. I contacted Amazon about the issue and they immediately offered me a refund or exchange. Given the fact that I still needed a bike for my son, I decided I would try the exchange and give this bike one        Read more By Lukasz
  • Nice looking bike, feels strong and sturdy (I can ride it and I’m over 200lbs). My 7 year old son loves the colors. I don’t think you can beat it for the price. The reason for the 3 star rating is quality control. For starters, the instructions are pretty bad. It’s easy to figure out once you get going, but for someone who’s adamant about building something the right way (and in this case, safe enough for my child), I found the instructions way too complicated and confusing considering how easy it was in the end. Each step covers several different types of bikes made by the same manufacturer. The instructions could’ve been much simpler. Secondly, the bike had several signs of mishandling and possibly poor quality workmanship and materials (see pictures). However, considering the price and my son’s excitement, it wasn’t enough to motivate a return.        Read more By Elvis See all customer reviews

  • This bike is so sturdy and nice. It costs a little more with the addition of a basket (we also added the streamers). However I liked that it was all metal rather than so much of it being plastic. I also wanted fenders because we live on the Oregon coast where the ground is most often wet/muddy. The one thing I didn’t expect was how heavy it would be. I think it’s about 40lbs. It took my daughter a while to be able to handle it, she had been riding a small plastic tric before. This was her 4yo birthday present, she a bit on the small side of 4 and we ordered her a 14”. It’s a tiny bit tall but not bad, she handles it like a pro.        Read more By kevin
  • So far, this purchase is a win for us! Granted, it hasn’t been ridden outside yet because of a snow “storm” (we live in the South) that hit last weekend when the bike arrived lol … but my daughter is anxious to get it outside soon. It is ADORABLE and appears to be high quality. Super easy to unpack and assemble. A great sturdy bell (none of this cheap plastic stuff). I’m super happy with it so far, and my daughter squeals over it multiple times a day. In her words (she just turned 5 and this was her birthday gift from us), “I’ve just wanted a bike like this for my WHOLE LIFE!” ??        Read more By Amy – 1st Time Mommy
  • Bought the bike for a Christmas present. I opened it tonight on Christmas eve to assemble the bike to surprise my grand daughter, all I find is nothing but a huge disappointment especially for a bike that I paid $115 for. The front fender is crooked to the point that it touches the brake arm. The paint is scratched off due to the friction. The back reflector is cracked. Apparently this FUOU Bicycle doesn’t believe in Quality Assurance. I need explanation on what International Quality Standard this company is following!        Read more By Jose See all customer reviews
